The United Family Chiropractic Mission:

United Family Chiropractic was founded on the principal that the best way to serve is by providing the very best in health practice, education and motivation.  The mission of United Family Chiropractic is to treat not the disease, but the patient; to heal not the symptoms, but the cause, and to promote not just the health of the body, but the wellness of mind and body.

The United Family Chiropractic home page contains my Chiropractic code.  My Chiropractic code spells out why I am a Doctor of Chiropractic and why I have chosen to serve.  Each of the lines in my code is a belief I hold and a promise I make to my patients.

Chiropractic seeks to help the body heal itself

Some of my patients are surprised to read that I seek to correct the cause, not the symptom.  This is a new thought for many who assume that traditional medicine and its reliance on prescriptions is the answer to the root causes of disease.  In fact, often the prescriptions and medicines prescribed by traditional medicine are prescribed to treat the symptoms only, the root cause of the disease is not treated.

With Chiropractic, unlike traditional medicine, the body's own ability to cure itself of disease is the focus, not the treatment of disease symptoms.

How does Chiropractic work?  A basic answer is that often a disease (an abnormality) is caused by interference in the body's normal healthy functions.  By seeking to release the interference, often the body can then use it's own ability to repair itself to treat the disease and bring itself back into healthy function.  Maintenance treatments are then used to keep the body in peak condition, resulting in better health, overall wellness in mind and body, and in a happier and healthier patient.
